In the fourth year of Chang'an (704 AD), with the support of the imperial court, Liu Tongping founded the Chunyang Temple on Mount Huashan in the Xiyu area. After Sun Zhong ascended the throne, Chunyang developed further. The current head of Chunyang is Li Wangxing, and he and four other disciples were received by Liu Tongping (the imperial court). The disciples, Zhu Fengming, Sangkan Buyi, Yi Ri, and Qi Jin, are known as the "Five Sons of Chunyang".

Chunyang's martial arts embody the true meaning of Taoism, and all methods are about controlling nature. It can not only operate its internal vitality at will, but also create a Tai Chi dimension that can attack and defend at the same time, and advance and retreat freely. They always say, "Let the strong enemy become the weak enemy. Let the surrounding nature follow suit and obey the changes without their protest."
